About
Lorraine grew up globally as a child, but for most of her adult life she has called the United States home. She says growing up all over the world may sound cool to some people, but was actually very stressful always being the new kid in school. She has a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature, and a Master’s in Mass Communications. In addition to being a writer, Lorraine is also a wife, and a mom to two amazing children. She is also a proud Trekkie who loves traveling, reading, hiking, movies, and coconut cupcakes, though not necessarily in that order. Lorraine’s short stories have been published in horror, fantasy, sci-fi and mystery/crime anthologies, and have won two sci-fi awards. She is the 2022 President of Sisters in Crime New England, which is a nonprofit organization bound by its support for female mystery writers in the New England area. She is also on the New England Regional Board for UNICEF USA, and is grateful for the opportunity to do her part in helping children worldwide. In addition to her website, she can be found on Twitter at: twitter.com/loneriter, and on Instagram at: https://www.instagram.com/loneriter/ .
Supermoon: a haiku
A perfect yolk of gold
Suspended
in a cloak of deep blue
Lambent light spilling everywhere
"Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves"
